Iowa Corridor Sangeet presents a Drishti/Niche collaboration: Gaata Rahe Mera Dil… the iconic melody of SACHIN DEV BURMAN. This FREE program traces the musical journey of a legendary Indian (Bollywood) music composer who can be called the architect of the golden era of Hindi film music.

This 14-member team is packed with amazing talent:  The show will be narrated by Salim Arif, one of India's finest and most-sought after theater and film directors.  The singers include Lata Mangeshkar's preferred protege, the award winning Vibhavari Joshi, celebrated and awarded young singer Hrishikesh Ranade who is also the male lead of Shreya Ghoshal's concerts worldwide, versatile and popular male lead Jitendra Abhyankar, (a Kishore Kumar protégé), and the melodious Saregama finalist Swarada Godbole. The accomplished orchestra will be led by noted arranger and keyboard wizard Kedar Paranjape, talented synthesizer exponent Darshana Jog, sitar virtuoso Prasad Gondkar, master rhythmist Ajay Atre, tabla and percussion master Vikram Bhat, flute exponent Nilesh Kulkarni and accomplished guitarist Vishal Thelkar. The show has been conceptualized by Madan Kulkarni and is directed by Milind Oak of Niche Entertainment, who has in the past given us some remarkable and popular musicals like Black and White, 100 Years of Bollywood, Yahoo, Bhairav se Bhairavi, Trendsetters, Gulzar ... Baat Pashmine Ki, and many more.

IOWA CORRIDOR SANGEET (ICS) is a community collaborative partnership with CARTHA ( A new name for the same group effort that brought you excellent programs like "Betaab Dil" (dedicated to Madan Mohan), Pandit Ronu Majumdar’s flute concert, 100 Years Of Bollywood, “Astu” film screening and conversation with Dr. Mohan Agashe and "Bhairav Se Bhairavi”. Our mission is to bring excellent South Asian performing arts and artists to the Iowa Corridor in order to enhance the community's experience and learning about these arts.  For more information and to find out how you can support our mission, e-mail us at:
