Summer 2023 Camps
Young Footliters camps and classes are an exciting, positive, and welcoming place for students of all ages to learn new skills. Lead by experienced teaching artists, each camp is open to students of all experience levels. Click the links below to register for our upcoming offerings.
Scholarships
Young Footliters believes theatre is for everyone! Scholarships are available, including full-ride scholarships, for families in need. We encourage every student who needs support to request a scholarship! Visit the Scholarship page to learn more and submit the simple form.

There’s No Business Like Show Business!
Ages 7-9
June 12–16 at the CCPA Rehearsal Hall
Time: (Session 1) 9:00 am–12:00 pm or (Session 2) 2:00–5:00 pm
Cost: $70 resident. $87.50 non-resident

Inspired by stories and songs from the golden age of Broadway, our campers explore the powers of their imagination through theatre games, music, and activities. They’ll meet beloved characters and travel to far-off places as they explore the world of make-believe! This program develops creativity, concentration, and confidence.

Footliters Traveling Playhouse: The Vanishing of the Jolly Roger
Ages 7-17
June 12–16 at CCPA
Time: 9:00 am–1:00 pm
Performance June 16 at 6:30 pm
Cost: $165 resident, $195 non-resident.
Scholarships available for any student in need!
Anchors aweigh! When the Jolly Roger vanished into the Bermuda Triangle three hundred years ago, the world thought it was gone for good… until now. Join this swashbuckling pirate crew on an island adventure as they learn what is possible when we work together.
Designed for students at all levels of theatre experience, campers will audition, rehearse, and perform a musical alongside three professional teaching artists...in one week! The Vanishing of the Jolly Roger is a brand-new production with a script by Katie Colletta and original music by Jason Sifford.
A public performance is held on Friday evening at 6:30 pm. A camp t-shirt and tickets to the final performance are included in your registration. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch and a water bottle each day.
Popcorn Players – Actor Detectives
Ages 5-6
June 26–30 at the CCPA Rehearsal Hall
Time: (Session 1) 9:00 am–11:00 am or (Session 2) 1:00–3:00 pm
Cost: $70 resident. $87.50 non-resident

Exploring what makes a character tick is a job for the Actor Detectives! In this session, students will use their powers of imagination and observation to become a wide variety of characters. Campers will learn about the power of teamwork to tell a story (and solve a mystery!) while building creativity and confidence.

The Audition Bootcamp
Ages 12-18

Led by professional acting teachers and directors, The Audition Bootcamp prepares high school students to rock auditions for school shows and colleges. Practice monologues, performance skills, cold-reading techniques, song selection, and so much more! Fine-tune your technique and nail every audition!

Actors, Animals, & Antics (Oh My!)
Ages 5-6
July 10–14 at the CCPA Rehearsal Hall

Calling all performers on the prowl! Young actors will use their powers of imagination to become a wild array of creatures (both real and imaginary!) while learning the basics of telling a story through acting. Campers will build confidence and creativity by working together!

Cabaret Intensive: The Golden Age of Broadway
Ages 12-18
July 17–21 at the CCPA Rehearsal Hall
Time: 9:00 am–1:00 pm

Life is a cabaret, old chum, so step into the spotlight! Middle and high school students will work together to craft a cabaret performance showcasing their vocal stylings, quick wit, and personal flair onstage. This class is perfect for the older student interested in putting it all together with music, dance, and acting skills.

High above the foothills of the Swiss alps, one snowy mountain towers above them all – a mountain only for the bravest of heart. Join us for a musical adventure filled with magic, mystery, and tests of true character! Together we’ll climb to the highest peak. Only one question remains… will YOU answer The Call of the Matterhorn?

Ages 7-17

An unsuspecting class of middle school students and their overly enthusiastic teacher are transported back in time where they come face to face with some of the greatest mysteries known to humans. Set against the backdrop of Ancient Egypt, the students learn about Ancient cultures and are reminded of the importance of working as a team.
