Footliters First Act
Designed for students in grades K–6, Footliters First Act presents four productions each season with shorter rehearsal schedules, smaller casts, and a brand new performance space in the CCPA Rehearsal Hall. First Act replaces the K–6 spring play, and allows more than 80 students each season to step into the spotlight with an educational production experience designed for just for them! |
Knights of the Rad Table
January 2–13, 2024
Registration opens: November 6, 2023, at Noon
Ages 9–12
Price: $180 for Coralville Residents, $225 non-residents, scholarships available!
Location: CCPA Rehearsal Hall
Calling all the Knights of the Round — er, rad — table! When some modern-day kids find themselves in Camelot, adventure ensues! Footliters First Act is an opportunity for young and new performers to take center stage! Capped at 25 students, every child will have an opportunity to create a role in a show. Rehearsals take place over two weeks and culminate in two performances.
- Rehearsals run 6:00–8:30 pm
- Performances: Friday, January 12 at 7:00 pm & Saturday, January 13 at 2:00 pm
- Conflict/Missed Rehearsal policy: Theatre is a team sport. All actors must be present at each rehearsal so they and their teammates can be successful with a short rehearsal period. Students who need to miss more than one rehearsal, should not register for this opportunity (there will be other chances!). Attendance is mandatory for rehearsals on Wednesday, Jan.10, Thursday, Jan. 11, and at both performances. Thank you for your understanding!
Happy Birthday Beatrix Potter & A History of Messy Rooms
January 29–February 11, 2024

Ages 5–9
Price: $180 for Coralville Residents, $225 non-residents, scholarships available!

From birthday traditions to kids not wanting to make their beds, some things never change! These two one-acts explore universal life lessons through fun characters in familiar situations. Footliters First Act is an opportunity for young and new performers to take center stage! Capped at 25 students, every child will have an opportunity to create a role in a show. Rehearsals take place over two weeks and culminate in two performances.
- Rehearsals run 6:00–8:30 pm
- Performances: Friday, February 10 at 7:00 pm & Saturday, February 11 at 2:00 pm

Beware the Jabberwock

This fresh take on Lewis Carroll’s famous poem, “Jabberwocky” is full of clever characters, rich language, and silly circumstances. Rehearsals take place over two weeks and culminate in two performances.
