Footliters Traveling Playhouse: Touring Teaching Artists
Summer, Seasonal, Hourly
Spend a summer crisscrossing Iowa making theatre with kids! We're looking for dynamic performers with a passion for teaching artistry to play roles in The Secret of the Sphinx, The Call of the Matterhorn and The Vanishing of the Jolly Roger, original touring musicals produced by Footliters Traveling Playhouse. Each team of three Teaching Artists will lead week-long theatre camps for groups of approximately 40-60 children ages 7-14. Teaching Artists should be comfortable leading rehearsals for 15-30 students at a time. Artists of all gender identities, ethnicities, racial backgrounds, and sexual identities are strongly encouraged to audition.

Classroom Teaching Artists
School year, Weekly, Hourly
Join our team of school-year teaching artists, working with hundreds of students each semester! Teaching Artists work one or two days per week on a semester-long schedule. We're looking for dynamic and energetic theatre artists with a passion for igniting a love of the arts in others. Teaching Artists will work with the Education Coordinator to create and deliver engaging lessons in theatre, dance, music, and art while cultivating a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment. Teaching Artists should be comfortable leading or assisting a class of 12-24 students at a time. Artists of all gender identities, ethnicities, racial backgrounds, and sexual identities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Assistant Teaching Artists

Not sure you're ready to lead a class of your own? Young Footliters is also looking for Assistant Teaching Artists. Assistant Teaching Artists support the Lead Teaching Artist in lesson preparation and implementation, model classroom work for students, and receive professional development throughout the semester through hands-on application.

Theatre Designers, Directors, Stage Managers, and Production Staff
Independent Contractor, Stipend
We regularly hire independent contractors to make our productions possible. City Circle Theatre Company and Young Footliters Youth Theatre rely on skilled local theatre-makers to create more than a dozen productions annually. Event Services Assistants and House Managers
Event-based, Part-time
Do you enjoy working with the public and putting on a wonderful event? Join our Front of House team to make sure each an every show is a welcoming experience for our community. With over 150 performances annually, the CCPA is always seeking friendly, detail-oriented, flexible team members to sell tickets, work in our concessions stand, and oversee events as house managers.

Technical Assistants and Specialists
Event-based, Part-time
Do you have an interest in theatre lighting, live sound, or electrics? The technical team at the CCPA is behind the scenes nearly 250 nights annually to make sure every event and rehearsal is accomplished safely and effectively. Regular duties include rental supervision, load-in and load-out of events, and stage/deck crew. We are eager to train interested individuals in sound board and light board operation to develop your skills and support our renters.
